ABOUT

CHURCH MOBILIZATION

We seek to mobilize the church to fulfill the calling God has placed on the life of every Christian. Some are called to adopt. Others are called to use their gifts and talents to minister, care, plan, organize, or give financially to support adoption and foster care. We all have a part to play.

ADOPTION FUND

Through the Colonial Heights Adoption Fund, HOC is able to financially partner with families who are in the process of adoption by providing grants and no-interest loans based on an application process through our partner Lifesong for Orphans.

To find out more about applying for financial assistance through Hearts of Compassion, contact an HOC representative.

You can donate directly to the Colonial Heights Adoption Fund and be a part of bringing a child into his/her "forever family." It's easy to make an immediate impact.

FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQs

  1. Who can apply? Home study approved members of a Bible-believing church.

  2. How do I apply? If you are working with Lifeline Children's Services, they have a form for Lifesong that you will complete (be sure to indicate "for review by Colonial Heights in MS"). If you are working with another agency, email info@heartsofcompassion.life.

  3. Do I have to be a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church? No, you can be a member of any Bible-believing church.

  4. Can we apply if our home study is not complete? You can start on the application, but you must have a completed home study to submit an application.

  5. Why do I mail the application to Lifesong for Orphans in Illinois? Lifesong is our ministry partner. They house our fund and review all applications on our behalf. They also provide a personal fundraising account, crowd funding platform, fundraising resources, and provide tax documentation for adoptive families and donors.

  6. What if we change our mind and decide not to adopt? Your funds will go into the HOC general fund and go towards another family that is adopting.
